Stop the stress and see a doc!

For women, thinning hair or outright hair loss is more than just a cosmetic concern.Extreme hair loss should be discussed with your healthcare practitioner. Some conditions like thyroid disease can cause dramatic hair loss and need specific treatments. But in the case of mild to moderate thinning hair, which is usually a result of hormonal imbalance, nutritional deficiencies, or elevated stress hormones, most women can get relief naturally — without having to resort to a new hair cut or experiment with hair thickening creams!Stress is also an issue for women with hair loss. Elevated stress hormones can shock hair follicles into their resting phase, causing hair to fall out at the slightest tug.

Infusions
My personal opinion on infusions. 1. Never go over 4 inches longer than your natural hair. Why? Ask Britney Spears.   2. Never  get a full head. Why? It looks very obvious. 3. Make sure your budget allows you to visit your stylist bi weekly. Why? Heat puts then in but it also takes them out!

*Sew-ins, quick weavs braids, and lace wigs offer the perfect opportunity to ‘rest’ your hair or take a break from chemical processing, but please remember not to neglect your natural hair!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           *Not just anyone more like everyone can wear a lace wig! Men, women, and children can benefit from wearing a lace wig. Lace Wig Wearers come from all walks of life and all have different reasons for wearing them. Some people wear lace wigs and frontals out of a necessity due to the effects of alopecia or chemotherapy treatments. Others may wear them as a protective measure to let their hair rest and grow, while some may choose lace wigs as their preferred styling option, as it offers the wearer a variety of options. Whatever the reason, lace wigs has become increasingly popular, as people are realizing the versatility lace wigs provide.                                                                                                                                             Selena's lace looks very natural unlike some you may see and right away know its a lace wig. Some people spend top dollar to invest in quality units like this one. Local beauty supply stores sell synthetic pieces called Amy, Janett and Cici... There is nothing real about a fake!

Female Hair Loss Products that Probably Don't Work

Thousands of products for female hair loss are advertised in ads and on the Internet.
They claim they can re-grow hair with miracle cures, or hold an obvious bias toward only one female hair loss product or solution (unsurprisingly the one they offer). Almost all are a complete waste of money. Most of these products haven't been assessed by proper research studies. And without recognized research, it is impossible to know about a hair loss product's effectiveness to treat women's hair loss and the safety of the product. Before trying any hair re-growth treatment ask the company for a copy of published evidence and the credentials of the firm testing the product.

Of the 100,000 hairs on your head, you need to lose about half before it's noticeable. And when that point is reached, most of the time you're not the only one who notices the hair loss.

Losing 50-100 hairs a day is normal. It's when they don't grow back that things get rough. Which is why Hair Club has stepped in to help hundreds of thousands of clients change their hair count, and their lives.

Hair loss in women is much more common than people think. About half of all women are affected by hair loss of some kind by age 50.

Hair has two separate parts: the follicle and the hair shaft. The follicle lies below the scalp and produces the hair strand that you see growing out of your head. The follicle is alive. The hair strand is not. It's simply made up of fragile, dead cells that have no regenerative properties.

Hair grows from the follicle at an average rate of a half an inch per month. Each hair grows for about four to seven years, after which it enters a “resting phase” and then falls out. A new hair begins growing in its place anywhere between three weeks and three months later. At any given time about 85 percent of hair is growing and 15 percent is resting.

Hair defines many things for a woman –personality, attractiveness, success, health and social status, just to name a few. Losing it can have a dramatic effect on both self esteem and social life. Many women feel that with their hair, they've lost a large part of who they are.

ALL ABOUT HEALTHY HAIR

Tamara hair stays healthy!  Use only the best on you hair.

Do not use two-in-one shampoo and conditioner products. Ever!

                              .

Shampoo is designed to have one effect on your hair, while conditioner is supposed to do another and one application can not do both. Shampoo opens the pores or scales on the hair follicles and cleans away any build up of oil, dirt and pollutants. Conditioner closes or smoothes the follicles down, filling them with clean moisture and protection. It is important to do both, regardless of your hair type.

Be extremely wary of products that leave a chemical buildup on your hair.  Some brands will encase your hair follicles in a thin silicone coating, which may appear wonderful at first, but builds up over time and leaves your hair brittle and resistant to moisture.
